The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden
From Wiki.
The Tomorrow series is a series of invasion novels written by Australian author John Marsden, detailing a high-intensity invasion and occupation of Australia by a foreign power. The novels are told in first person perspective by the main character, a teenage girl named Ellie Linton, who is part of a small band of teenagers waging a guerrilla war on the enemy garrison in their fictional home town of Wirrawee. The name of the series is derived from the title of the first book, Tomorrow, When The War Began.
I started reading them around year 5, and re-read the entire series through to year 9. I then went on to read the Ellie Chronicles, which follows Ellie's rehabilitation into normal life after the war.
Any one else read them?

I really liked them. I read the first one in year 7 for a book project and it kinda almost scarred me.
it freaked me out. and then I had to read it again in year 8 for another project
and I read the whole series from then. Halfway through the Ellie chronicles. I really like them.

Loved them.
Best books.
The Ellie Chronicles aren't nearly as good.
But the Tomorrow series... words cannot describe how much I love these books.

The Ellie chronicles are like, the shitty younger sister of the Tomorrow series.
I mean its good because I wanted to know what happened to everyone, but its like, the war never ended.
bleh.

Re: The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden
I've only read the first one.
But I found them hard to read, like, hard to keep motivated.
I think it had something to do with how many kids there were.
I was like "Dammit, I can't remember which is which.
"
But it had a good storyline.

I thought they were gonna be awesome and I was all excited because it was like the series never ended.
And then... they weren't very good and I was disappointed.

They're making a movie triology for this.
It's going to have that girl who played Rachel in Neighbours.
