Re: Favorite Child
I used to think my brother was the favorite in my family because he got to stay up late and go visit a friend whenever he wanted to.
I was naive. he got to do everything I couldn't because he's older.
I think the "favorite child" is just an illusion.

Re: Favorite Child
^ i think it can be an illusion, but in some cases isn't. some people just clearly have a kid they like more.
i don't think my parents do.
except my dad's happy he has a daughter as his youngest (me) because (he says) it's really nice having a daddy's girl.

Re: Favorite Child
My sister used to be the all-out favorite. And I can see why. She's the pretty one, she does sports and she's mostly competent academically.
But...idk. It seems like since her eating disorder came out into the open, they've been a lot less preferential. (Is that a word?) It seems like they're starting to realize I'm doing better in school than she did and things like that. -shrug- Maybe it just takes something awful for the parents to realize that a favorite child isn't perfect.

I don't think my mom has a favorite.
I'm the only child my dad had, so obv.
My mom got remarried after having my three older siblings and had me. :]

Re: Favorite Child
I honestly don't think my parents favour either of us.
I'm much easier tot alk to and relate to in general, and, bar my emotional issues (which are practically never discussed) we talk constantly about everything and anything. I'm the one who talks about the world, she's the one who talks about her friends.
But, I can't show my family or anyone I feel to be 'family' that I love them. I don't know why, I just can't. So that's where my sister... outshines me, I guess, ahaha.
It's weird, because she SHOULD be the favourite, because I'm such a screw-up. But I don't even feel like she is -shrug-

Re: Favorite Child
I don't know if my parents have a favourite.
My grandpa (dad's dad) once asked my mum if had a favourite out of me and my two sisters, and that offended her (as it would).
I gotta say that my little sister gets away with a lot more than I ever could, but I guess they expect me to know better than her seeing as I'm four years older. But, at the same time, my older sister was quite a handful as a teen. I'm the only one who's never really given them any trouble.
My older sister thinks that our little sister is our dad's favourite. Apparently because she acted the most like a boy when she was a kid. Whatever that means. I don't know if I believe that though.

Re: Favorite Child
my mum told me last saturday at dinner, that i was daddy's girl and the one who had him wrapped round my little finger and could get ANYTHING out of him. seriously >_< i had to point and ask for something and i got it, when i was tiny. see, my pooh teddy bear which now means the world to me, books, etc.
then she said that william was more likely to get her to do something, and i was like, um, bummer.

Re: Favorite Child
My little sister is my dad's favourite. He would do anything for her, she seriously could ask for almost anything and she'd get it. It's mostly because she knows she's his favourite and plays it up. I don't get on well with my dad and even though my brother and him don't fight my little sister is a mega suck-up
I don't think my mum has a favourite, though, I know my little sister gets on her nerves a lot because she's a bit of a brat. I suppose cause dad spoils her so much she thinks she can be really rude to my mum and get away with it and normally she does. The times when dad does actually get mad at her are so funny because she gets so shocked

My dad tells me I'm the favorite all the time.
I don't like it. At all.
It makes me feel like a horrible, selfish, spoiled brat. I don't know why, but it does.
