Faux pas?
On the way to school this morning there was this girl
She was wearing red velvet track pants... like IDK, she was black and apparently its ghetto to dress in velvet tracksuits; all the pimps and hoes or whatever at my school do it
Anyway she had these pants, and then she had a lace singles in a different shade of red
and over that she had a baby pink cardigan with a baby pink hat
I think my eyes nearly committed suicide.
My point is:
the worst fashion mistakes ever?
Do you ever see people and want to stop them and scream at and/or shake them?
Anything you've dressed in that you're now ashamed to asmit?

Re: Faux pas?
OMG I hatehatehate those bright velvet tracksuits.
Velvet clothing in general
ANDAND this trend that's going on here where girls tend to put things under their headscarfs to make their heads look bigger [do NOT ask... ;-;]
They put like.. those plastic yogurt cans, and poofy hair clips that're so big they're equal a person's actual head. O_O I do not know why they do it and I do not plan to find out>_>
Also, unflattering tightfitting outfits ;-;
OH and leather... God I hate leather >_>

Ew. Crocs. I don't care if they're comfortable, they're just ew.
They're basically neon, styrofoam shoes with holes in them. And no, don't buy the ones with fleece so you can wear them in the winter.
Wear some closed shoes.

Re: Faux pas?
they are.
like, i don't know if my feet just have problems, but the middle part of my foot is raised a little, and every time i try to walk in a pair that i got once, just to test them out and see why they were so popular, it slaps against my foot.
T___T
DO NOT GET THEM.

OH MY GOD I hate crocs.
They make my eyes wail.

And I hate it when people try to wear things that they can't pull off. >_> Like 50 year old ladies wearing ruffled miniskirts and fishnets and kitten heels, it's like, give me a break.
I'm not being age-ist or whatever, but srsly. Look in the mirror plz.

Re: Faux pas?
i own a pair of crocs.
they're my shoes for going out to the garden because otherwise, it's a pair of deck shoes that fall apart.
fashion mistake?
oh god, anything too tight. juicy couture in general- it's velour guys, not velvet. still disgusting.
chunky gold jewellery when done chavvily. nobody at all can pull it off.
wrap dresses must be worn with long boots or skyscraper heels.
jeans and heels aren't really that good a mix.
ugg boots tucked into jeans or tracksuit bottoms only, please don't roll tracksuit bottoms up.
micro shorts are a no no.
hmm, well... polo necks on people with boobs, hoop earrings in general, necklaces with name on, flip flops anywhere but the beach, fluffy coats.
fashion picky much?
oh, and colour mixing.

Re: Faux pas?
I really have a thing against those t-shirts they sell a Supre saying things like 'I love my boyfriend'.
There heaps of them saying all different things but... just no.
Also, this isn't really a trend or anything but last 'free dress' day a girl in my grade wore see-through white pants with a black g-string
I have no idea why...

Re: Faux pas?
I strongly dislike people who wear natural fur.
It's just disgusting.

And I'm not exactly a fan of leggings in crazy neon colors. or of, uh, wearing only black when you're not in mourning.
Dunno, there are a lot of Roma ethnics around the area where I live and they wear all kinds of crazy colorful clothes, I'm used to people expressing themselves in an extravagant not-so-fashionable way and nothing really bothers me. -shrug-

Re: Faux pas?
I hate it when guys dress in like, disgustingly bright horrible colors. Actually, not just guys. People in general. Like, if you're more than 8 years old, stop with the blinding colors. It just gets to me. But yeah, especially guys because here, some designers MUST be retarded. The shirts they come out with are like, purple with green flowers on it, or tye-dye hippy shit with pink splotches. Not even Fagboy McNutsack would wear that shit.
And some guys at my school think its omgpwnage to wear ALL white. No. Its not. Well, if you pull it off right it looks ok. But this one dude, he was wearing white bellbottom type jeans thingies with a white t-shirt (black graphics) and a white blazer. And a bunch of rings. And a giant fucking seahorse necklace hanging down to his navel. And a chain-belt thing. Like a cheap-ass jewerly store threw up on him or something. It was AWFUL.

omg those. Suck so bad. My martial art instructor was going on aboutthem, he was like, "
I mean, do you really want me to stare at a 13 year old boobs? Cause that's what i'll be doing if you have neon writing all over them!"They are truly bad.
And....3/4 tights under miniskirts piss me off.

You mean jeans in general? 'Cuz I think skinny jeans + heels are okay.
Some of my friends have name necklaces, bracelets, etc. I don't mind. They're usually gifts, are expensive, and pretty wearable anywhere.
And flipflops are worn EVERYWHERE in the Philippines now. Srsly. I wear them to school XD Havainnas. Designer flipflops. Maybe it's the weather here, which can get hot... and it if rains you won't damage your good shoes XD I don't mind them, actually. They're practical. I guess it's in the West that maintains that slippers should only be worn at home or at the beach or something.

Re: Faux pas?
That's what I was thinking. Like, EVERYONE wears flipflops around here. Like, if you're just going to the grocery store or lounging around with friends, flip flops are usually the thing.
But I think its partially because flipflops are kind of an Indian thing [WHITE FOLKS STOLE OUR CHAPPALS!!!]

Re: Faux pas?
How are they impractical? They're cheap, easy to wear and work with almost everything. They dry easily, don't get damaged in water and don't get all hot and horrible in heat.

so what can you wear skinny jeans with, aside from sneakers?
XD
i wear em with heels [when i go out], sneakers, and slippers. since i don't look good with doll shoes.
maybe the flip flops over at your side? 0_0
cuz over here, they're the most comfortable thing around. most people actually have more flipflops than real footwear [like me XD] because they're cheap, easy to match.
they're kind of accepted in Filipino society--you won't look like a bum or a beggar or anything. everyone has them, wears them.
all flip flops is like... one of the stores thats ALWAYS full in malls XD

Re: Faux pas?
What's wrong with flip-flops? Everyone wears them everywhere where I'm from (Florida, not Maine).
And skinny jeans + heels = teh seckz.
What I hate to see people wear:
Crocs
Real fur (puke worthy)
Velvet......? I've never seen anyone wear that but since you mentioned it, I can only imagine how horrible it must be.
Leather
Camoflauge
Trip pants

they don't cover the whole foot.
idk don't hate me, i'm just saying flip flops around here, in general, are just... not on! i'm english, there's very rarely a reason for us to put our umbrellas down, let alone reach for flip flops!
