Re: Tattoos
I'm eventually getting one, most likely around the top of my foot/near the ankle because I wanted a less noticeable place.. but it will say "At rejse er at leve," because I believe if you get something inked onto your skin, it has to mean something special to you... and that quote does. A lot.
But I'm well aware that the chose place I want it, will fucking hurt like hell. >_< Not good for someone who is terrified of needles, but I still want to do it. I'll probably just cry... a lot. My friend who is a fantastic artist is going to design it for me, it'll be really simple but really beautiful. Something cursive we spoke about.. it'll be nice.

Re: Tattoos
i'll definitely be getting some.
the first one will be my family symbol [chinese character], at the top of my spine, just above the spot between my shoulder blades. i'm eventually going to get a line of different chinese symbols down my back, getting smaller as they go, that will say things like family, courage, loyalty, etc. that would symbolize my values and how they make up my backbone and why i stand the way i do.
i'll get at least one thing involving music, probably two. one will be the playing side of it [i play flute, piccolo, and oboe, and plan to learn guitar as soon as i can find one of my brother's in the mess of moving], so that'll be like a treble clef or a triplet or something. and one will be the listening side of it, headphones or something, probably behind my ear.
i want something on the top of one foot and on the bottom of the other, probably like a chain or something, and my lucky number, respectively. or i might put 'made in usa' on the bottom. it'd be cooler if i was born in china though. ¬_¬
i also want snowflakes, i'm thinking seven [my lucky number]. probably one on the bottom of my foot, and on the inside of my elbow, wear they draw blood. and maybe one on my neck, or in the hollow of my throat, and on my back and stuff. they'll all be different and they'll symbolize skiing and what it means to me.
i kind of want some stars too, to represent heaven and hope and all this.
i've thought about a verse to a poem or lyric, but then i decided...what happens when/if i end up not liking that song/poem? i'm stuck with it on my skin. so...i'm not totally sure.
i think some tattoos are stupid...my aunt has the eyeliner one...which is kind of retarded since she never wore eyeliner in the first place...¬_¬ i also dislike band logos, lyrics, etc. useless ones, too, i'm not totally into, because if it doesn't mean something, why is it on your skin in the first place?
yeah. okay. enough talking.

Re: Tattoos
I've considered getting one, but I'm not sure if I'll go through with it. Piercings I can handle, but I don't know if I'd be able to take the pain of a tattoo.
If I did get one, it would possibly be the Smashing Pumpkins heart symbol. And I don't think it'd particularly matter if I stopped listening to/liking the band; they helped me to broaden my musical tastes, so it'd be a tribute to them.

Re: Tattoos
My soon to be uncle is a tattoo artist, so if I do get one, it'll be for free
I was thinking of getting a simple black peace sign with either "let it be" or
"across the universe" handwritten under it on my left wrist.

Re: Tattoos
I'd love to have 'adrisole' on me.
Explaining it over and over would be a bit of a pain, though. Maybe I should get the UrbanDictionary URL tattooed under it.
Don't think I'll actually go through with a tattoo, though. It isn't all that popular here, so there aren't really any 'safe' places that I know of.

I'm getting my tattoo as soon as I have the money
It's this:

if anyone can play, you'll realise it's obviously a sad song.
It's extremely personal and very few people know what its about, but I'll say that it relates to the thing thats affected my life most deeply out of everything I've ever experienced and probably everything I ever will experience.
It's my life in music.
And, of course, adrisole.

Re: Tattoos
I was thinking of getting a small one, because my dad is so close to breaking down and letting me get it.
...But I don't want to explain to my parents/family what adrisole is. o_o
Friends, yes. Strangers, yes. Family, no. >_____>
I still want it -lol-[/lame]

I totally want the same thing my brother has- the Kennedy crest. :]
Okay, I know Kennedy means "hard-headed" but whatever. So what? :]

Re: Tattoos
Mikey I totally got out my viola to play that song
It sounded so melodic and melancholic when I played with slurs. What's the title?
So far, I want the spider [somewhere], the Oroboros symbol on my chest, a monster on my hip, a tiny star below my ear.
Or I'll just scrap them all to make something good for me.

Re: Tattoos
Its called Novel in a Notebook
It's the first song I ever wrote about... well, personal stuff. But yeah melancholy is me >_<
It's actually played on the piano, with the low A and Ds being held (just held, not pedaled, I'm specific lulz) so yeah, there's definitely a legato feel.
But the slurs didnt look good on it
so theyre being left out.
I mean thats a basic design; when I actually am sure I'm getting it done (money >_>) I'll rework it to be prettier looking

Re: Tattoos
^Did you ever record it? =D
I don't have a keyboard in the house, but I printed it out to try at my best friend's XD
It'll definitely make a lovely tattoo. You got me into thinking I should make my own

Re: Tattoos
I never really got around to it -shrug-
I mean I was like... 12 when I wrote it. or something. Young. For the melody. IDK. But I'm glad you like it <3
I've also been thinking of something else, recently. Like, some kind of thing for Panic at the Disco. I figure they deserve it because I never would have started singing if it wasn't for Brendon Urie. Same for writing and Ryan Ross.
For years they've been a constant, for me. They've seen me through every major change in my life, from coming out to facing huge fears in admitting things about myself.
But I dont know what it would be yet >.<

Re: Tattoos
I want a few, definitely.
I want "Bring Back Love" somewhere, "I am not afraid to keep on living" probably on my right shoulder, and my mom's name, Debra Kay, probably on my foot.
And I want a tree, going up my arm. Though I'll probably never get it. (Money + Pain + Career issues.)

Re: Tattoos
Chandler, have you heard of dermablend?
Actually, everyone here.
It's this really hardcore makeup you can use to hide things like tattos, scars, etc.
So if you wore long sleeves and just put it around your wrist -shrug-
Same for mine; it'll be the actual size fo musical stave which as some of you know isnt very big, so it'll be easy to cover when I have to
But I really like that tree idea

Re: Tattoos
hmm.
i'm rethinking tattoos.
mostly to the point of; do not want.
so many people of my generation want them for whatever reason when, they may be personal and special to them, but they all end up looking the same... idk.
i've been brought up to believe they're common and nasty and it'd take one hell of a lot to convince me otherwise, for now.
i like my skin the way it was made, tbqh, and who says it'll mean anything in thirty years? more likely, i'll be kicking myself, because that's what i'm like.
