Coolest instrument ever y/y?

Any bassists here?
I've been playing for almost three years, I wouldn't
say I'm all to great but I can get my way through a
couple of songs. XD

I've been teaching myself how to play since like July. I can play like parts of Dance, Dance and a song by the Gorillaz.

II know a little, start learning properly next Wednesday for Enrichment ^_^

Oh yes
I actually started out on one of those real big
ones when I was like ten and I would always drop it.
But when I started playing again I got a electric one
like all of the cool kids.

I can play a couple Ramones songs, and I've been trying to
learn some Used songs but I kind of suck so I'm waiting until
I start lessons again to actually start learning more songs and
just continue to practice the ones I already know.

Been a long time since I've bothered with it, but I love the bass.

Actually the first song I learned was Dance, Dance.

since i'm not allowed a bass we and my friend are going to wreck my guitars and make a bass

I just started and I really like it because its the kindof middleground between drums and gutar. I like being able to feel the beat, without the complexity of drums.

ALSO. for all those who desire a bass to practice on, go and find eather the ibanez or fender starter kits..there around 200, 150. you get the bass, amp, tuner, ect.

I really want to learn the bass.

I have everything...but the actually instrument. I was meant to get one 3 years ago but it never happens >.<

I've tried guitar and drums and mildly failed so thought i'd try the bass, since its something i'm a lot more passionate about. Where as those were just to...mess about really.

I love, love, love the bass.
My dad felt generous one day (or maybe he just felt bad for never giving me anything in my life) and he gave me a '93 Fender Jazz Electric bass. SO beautiful. I named her pearl.

I wasn't really figuring out how to play the thing until like a few months ago tho. And then my youth group was all "You own a bass, so you'll be our bass player"

And I didn't want to suck...So I figured out how to read charts and tabs and crap. and now i play on wednesdays at youth group. And our youth group's band is a serious group of like seriously talented people.
IT'S SO FUN.
