I've been learning for like, 5.. or 6.. or 7 years.

But omg I suck so bad.

Me and my flute teacher are actually friends, so during lessons we just bitch about life and not play flute.
I can't believe I'm still paying him.

I played flute for one year...I couldn't make it make any noise at all, hated my teacher and couldn't read music.

I quit after that disaster, but I'm thinking it might have been fun if I'd kept up.

...who else thinks flautist sounds like a dirty word? whatnow? O_O

I never got to a grade.
When I wsa in primary school band I played glockespiel (sp?) and my friends older sister had a flute that I frequently tried to play.

And I fail at playing my friend's flute. My mouth works differently for clarinet!
