I love the piano.

It's beautiful. nawwww
Except for when the annoying yr9s at my school play it -narrows eyes-

I really should practice more, but at the moment I only have a keyboard at home.

Piano>keyboard in every way.

I used to play the piano when I was younger, 4 years ago, I think.
But then I grew up, became a geek and didn't have time take classes anymore. And then my parents started to get into bad fights and well the piano was actually my aunt's piano and she really hates us now and there's no room for a piano in my room so one way or the other I was left piano-less.
;_;
Now I just listen to the music, I vaguely remember how to play and I'll probably pick it up again when I finish college and settle down and become rich and famous and with tons of free time.

I used to play piano. I was in lessons for a couple of years and I have my grade one.

Then I had to quit because swimming took over my life.

I recently started playing through some of my old books and I'm in love with it once again. nawwww

I played from when I was 11 to when I was 14 I think.
I never did exams or anything, I just went to lessons.
I can still read music and if you give me a piano and a relatively easy piece I can learn it in about half an hour.

I played in primary, until my teacher left. Which was near the end of year 5.

I was the best in my group, and I was put forward because i learned my pieces so well and fast.

I took private lessons in year 8. But I hated it. The stuff was too hard because I'd stopped and I picked up too far ahead.

But I still like to play my old stuff and try to teach myself the stuff from my books that I had in primary.

And I have a keyboard in my room.

-snort- ohshit, I've got a piano lesson tomrrow and I haven't practiced for 2 weeks xD

I would love piano, if I was allowed to learn stuff that I actually enjoy.
I can only endure so much mozart/beethoven/chopin before I implode.

Anyhoo.. I'm starting to learn for my Grade 5 exam now. -sigh-

Guh how have I neglected this thread.

SOMEBODY TALK MUSIC WITH ME. NOW. PLZ.

K so question; who's your favourite composer to play?

Mine, hands down, is Bach. I love Bach. He's my favourite overall, like I can play half of the suite in B Minor on flute.

I think about half, if not more of the peices I can play on piano, are actually his. lol@chu

David Nevue. He's a contemporary pianist who writes (as far as I know) solely for that instrument.
And the stuff he writes is just so... : yah
Him first, definitely.

Clint Mansell, for Lux Aeterna. I don't care how much it's overplayed, it's an amazing piece.

I prefer Beeeethoven to Bach. Or maybe Elgar....or Vaughan Williams LMFAOOO
I have a thing for one piece Schubert wrote that we had to study for music, once. Very haunting.
