Chris Brown arrested for alleged violence against Rihanna.

Popular R&B singer Chris Brown has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a woman widely reported to be his girlfriend Rihanna, who was allegedly left bruised, bleeding and even bitten.

Socialite Paris Hilton said reports about her flirting with Chris Brown, thus causing the fight between Rihanna and Brown, were “ridiculous and an outright lie”.

“I was not 'all over him' as some magazine reported. I said, 'hello' and that was it. I love Rihanna and that never happened,” said Hilton.

The photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. It is now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

Yes, he shouldn't have beat her and it is horrible that he did.

True, however by doing this, she's shown many people who are abused that it's okay to tell someone.
She's the voice for people who won't or can't speak for themselves.

For most of what's happened, she's a pretty good role model, but for some of it, she's one of the worst role models for abuse ever.

You know what though? That's her business. She was thrust into a role she never expected or wanted to be in. It isn't up to the public what she does. It isn't her job to be a role model. And maybe some of you think I'm stupid for thinking all of this. But most of us probably have no idea what it is like to be in her position. Actually, none of us know what it is like to have the whole world prying into your very private, and embarrassing matters.

Also, we don't know what is going on. It's gossip and rumours. Whether she is with him is her business or not. While I don't agree with it, I don't know the whole situation and it isn't my business.

I get where you're coming from, Libbey. I do think everyone should just butt out. But abuse needs to be talked about more so it's not some taboo thing, you know?

It's inevitable. She's in the limelight in the first place because shes a successful musican. If you're in that industry, you have to be ready for everything. She'd sound stupid if she were to bitch and complain about it, because she wanted to be a musican, you get everything that comes along with that lifestyle; even if those things aren't so pleasant. She is obviously going to be gossiped about, and it doesn't matter if it is wrong in doing so, because people don't care, and they will do it anyways.

You need to see that, yes, its her life, and we don't know what exactly is going on unless it is confirmed, but for the people who ARE being abused this story tells a million other stories around the world that haven't been said.
It gives people awareness, and although it may not be morally right to use someones life as an example, it does in fact bring it to peoples attention. Because, instead of looking at this whole situation as a scandal, I look at it as an abusive matter between two people.
