I've got it!
I think I've found a way that I'll be able to have a cat that will be happy.
Since I work I worried it would be unhappy, get into mischief, get hurt ect but since I've started a new job I'm only working a few days a week until I'm off probation. I'll only be away 6-8hrs max a day even when I'm off probation. That gives me plenty of time to bond and he won't alone for too long.
If something goes drastically wrong, depending on the time my brother might be here anyway.
I was thinking of using the room beside mine. I know it between two bedrooms, but i don't think we'll be able to smell the litter, plus ill leave the window open just a crak.
If you don't get what I mean I drew this:

My laundry connects room, so I'm unable to use it for kitty litter, but I think this idea would work. My cat will have a full room for himself, I'm pretty sure that room was meant to be the master bedroom so it's quite big. ^^
Since there is stuff in this room I'll either find a space to put it or push it into a corner and block it off with boxes or buy one of the baby fence things? and keep lots of toys to keep him entertained along with a scratching pole, litter box, a bed, and one food bowl and two water bowels incase he spills one have has to go without and I'll also leave the shutters open but the window closed except for that crack. That way the light moving across the floor will entertain him, not that his stupid but I read that its good for cats.
I've wanted a cat for the longest time. I've had a two dogs but never was allowed a cat cause my dad said he would kill it. >_> thanks dad. Now that I think I've solved all the problems with space and work I'm going to get one.
Do you think this idea will work?
Comments, ideas?

Re: I've got it!
Hm. An entire room for your cat? Your cat will probably just roam around your house, finding very random places in your house to call its home. My cat decided that our mousemat would be - much to our dismay - his ideal sleeping spot
And it would be better to block it off with boxes, eventually your cat will jump over / climb through the baby fence thing.
However I hope you get a cat, they're awesome pets

Re: I've got it!
Yeah, he is going to be able to roam and stuff. It's just while I'm at work.
I want to know his going to in a completely safe environment while I'm gone. (:
