Pro-life or pro-choice?

What are your opinions on abortion?

I'm pro-choice. I don't think the government's soapbox belongs in a woman's uterus.

i am known as the pro choice spokeswoman of my religion class because i think a woman should be allowed one if there's a damn good reason.

everyone else seems to think the woman has fewer rights than her child, and everyone is completely capable of looking after a disabled child, or carrying the child of a rapist.

A woman has a right to chose.
Within reason, of course.
Like, if she just couldn't be bothered having a kid and was too slack with contraception I dont think she should be allowed to abort.
But if she was on the dole or something like that...

Pro-choice.

It is a life and I don't think I could ever abort unless I was raped or something else happened because to me, even a undeveloped foetus is a life. But I digress. whatnow? O_O

I think that parents should be notified if the girl is under a certain age. My friend got his girlfriend pregnant at 13 and they didn't get told. And to me that's wrong.

I guess, I'm neither.
I myself would never have an abortion. I don't think it would be right for reasons that would surely sound silly for you.
But I don't think abortions should be illegal, I'm strongly against it. Every woman has the right to decide what she wants to do with her body, every human being has full control of their bodies. I also don't think there should be limits except for health risks related ones.

I'm pro-choice.

No body except for the woman can decide whether she wants to go through with it. Nine months can be a very long time, and sometimes adoption doesn't always help the child. Then you see the druggies that get pregnant, don't want the baby and stay on drugs the entire time and those poor children are born addicts.

So I think the decision should be left to the woman.

I don't think that's stupid.
Just because you think women have the right to choice doesn't mean you need to feel the obligation to make a certain choice.
All you mean is that women have the right to choose one of two things: abort or don't abort.
You made your decision and you feel other women should have the right to make theirs, too.

I would probably only abort if I were raped or getting a selective reduction.

But just because I've been there.
And we didn't use birth control.
And I wasn't thinking straight. Both drinking and depressed [bawled my eyes out right before we had sex].
And I don't think making a mistake means that you should make another mistake by having a child you don't want.

I think this is where the abortion pill RU 486 comes into action.
Its not legal in Australia yet, idk about in America.
That sort of medical advancement would put an end to abortions as a result of peoples carelessness.

A child isn't necessarily a "punishment".
It is the risk of having sex. It is the result.
That's what sex is for, to reproduce, right? Yes, many many people having sex aren't looking for a child, but that's what sex is for.
If you're not ready for the consequences of sex, maybe you shouldn't be having it.
For the most part, I don't think abortion is right when you're fixing a problem - the problem being pregnancy.

Okay, I know it's not healthy to get a lot of abortions, but I don't see why having 10 abortions is immoral while having one is perfectly moral.

I don't get why people care what other people do with their body. It's the same with homosexuality and definitely not on the same level, but the same concept: tattoos and piercings. It's my body: I will do whatever the fuck I want with it.
